# Install Slopsentral

> Add the marketplace and select plugins in Codex or GitHub Copilot CLI.

Use the plugin commands in your installed agent application.
The examples install Software Engineering and Kotlin Engineering.
For prose alone, substitute `repository-knowledge@slopsentral`.

These commands change the application's marketplace and plugin configuration.
They do not need a Slopsentral checkout.

## Codex

1. Examine the configured marketplaces.

```bash theme={null}
codex plugin marketplace list --json
```

2. If Slopsentral is absent, add its Codex branch.

```bash theme={null}
codex plugin marketplace add amichne/slopsentral --ref harness/codex --json
```

3. Install the selected plugins.

```bash theme={null}
codex plugin add software-engineering@slopsentral --json
codex plugin add kotlin-engineering@slopsentral --json
```

4. Examine the installed plugins.

```bash theme={null}
codex plugin list --json
```

The inventory must list the selected plugin identities.
If an existing source points elsewhere, examine it before replacement.
The [OpenAI documentation](https://developers.openai.com/plugins/build/plugins#add-a-marketplace-from-the-cli) describes marketplace sources and Git refs.

## GitHub Copilot CLI

1. Examine the configured marketplaces.

```bash theme={null}
copilot plugin marketplace list
```

2. If Slopsentral is absent, add its GitHub Copilot branch.

```bash theme={null}
copilot plugin marketplace add 'amichne/slopsentral#harness/github-copilot'
```

3. Install the selected plugins.

```bash theme={null}
copilot plugin install software-engineering@slopsentral
copilot plugin install kotlin-engineering@slopsentral
```

4. Examine the installed plugins.

```bash theme={null}
copilot plugin list
```

The [GitHub reference](https://docs.github.com/en/copilot/reference/copilot-cli-reference/cli-plugin-reference) describes plugin selectors and marketplace refs.

## Use the installation

Start a fresh agent session.
State the task and the authorized scope.
If the host asks for hook trust, examine the selected hook before approval.

For Kotlin semantic tools, examine Kast's connection separately.
Kast owns its runtime and workspace discovery.
A plugin inventory does not prove that a workspace accepts semantic queries.

The [workflow profiles](https://github.com/amichne/slopsentral/tree/main/source/profiles) declare the provider branches.
The [troubleshooting guide](/guides/troubleshooting) covers missing capabilities and stale installations.
